I didn’t realize how much I missed the #telltale kind of interactive storytelling.

I’ve been in a #gaming rut lately, afraid to commit to any real #game with my full attention.

Tonight, I was sucked in start to end.

I prioritize what my players want their characters to be. If they all want to be bards, or they all want to be rogues, great, we’ll work with that. I want them to be happy, and sometimes that means their party layout won’t be maximized.

As a DM, there are times where rolls happen and I am just blown away by how perfectly they add to the story, even when they are unlikely to succeed. I won’t call it luck, but sometimes I think there’s someone out there guiding the story who’s not me.
