I used to think BlueSky was an impossible platform to sell books, and I know many authors give up. I only stayed because I like to hang out here.

But here's what I'm learning...

💙 BlueSky rewards you for being human. 💙

This is such a foreign concept on the other socials... I nearly missed it.

Painting louds is hard as fuck ya'll 😭
Here are my first attempts. I think I did decently for a first try, but I went too big too fast. Next time I'll be sure to pick an easier reference, and do some value studies first 😅

I already liked TMP, but I saw it at the cinema a couple of years back and being able to soak it all in on the big screen elevated it for me and it's up there with Wrath of Khan as the best in the series.
Star Trek: The Motion Picture was released 46 years ago today.

This film is truly unique within this franchise. I understand that it may not be the most accessible, but I love its tension, mystery, atmosphere, and curiosity.

40 years ago today, on December 6th, 1979, the basically unfinished Star Trek: The Motion Picture, in which Spock gets his heart, premiered in Washington D.C. I'm in the pro camp on this one, eschewing that silly odd/even thing with the Trek films.

The only real job I’ve ever had other than what I’m doing now was teaching piano, which I absolutely loved.

Here’s a three-minute piano lesson that I recorded back during the pandemic. In good times or bad, these simple notes can bring you lots of creative joy at the keyboard.

It's very easy to improvise to your heart's desire if you know this simple 6-note system. It's actually addictive.

Did someone say it was Caturday, and also Science Saturday. Here’s a two-in-one.
Unlike the domestication of dogs (20-40k years ago), cats might have hung around humans but it took them much longer to get domesticated (2k).

Omg y'all, someone picked up all four books in Triple Strike from Lark and Owl Booksellers in Georgetown, TX 🥺. I was just despairing how my books don't do well in bookstores and maybe I should give up on consignment, but now I have the emotional fortitude for another round of marketing trenches 😅.
