Elon Musk? The character from Iron Man 2? You’re pulling my leg. There’s no way he’s a real person.

Cancelling a cinema trip tomorrow night cos I'll have just finished work so I'm gonna be too tired and also I checked and someone's booked the seat right next to mine.

Unappreciated thing about physical media, they're like little time capsules of the era they're released. Stuck on Scream 4 and there's trailers at the start for Joel Schumacher's Blood Creek and The New Daughter starring Kevin Costner.

Well done if you remember either of those cos I sure didn't.

Whyyyy do people feel the need to make and share fake emails/posts of the likes of Trump and Elon saying daft stuff when the shit they do and say for real is just as fucked? The amount of people reacting to them as real is fucking depressing.

I've woken up annoyed at everything this morning.

Got out of work earlier and while waiting for my bus I saw a cat chasing a rat.

If you're in the UK, Rabbit Trap hits theaters this Friday, January 30. Recommended if you're interested in folk horror, the fae, hauntology, and things of that nature. A totally trippy time, starring Dev Patel and Rosy McEwen. Here's the trailer:

I really liked the first Silent Hill film. Not perfect by any means but some great stuff in there. Second one, not so good. Had seen some poor reviews for the new movie but come on. Original director coming back, how bad could it actually be, right?

Oh, absolutely get fucked with this. I know how to use it. I just choose not to whenever possible.
BREAKING: Free AI training will be offered to every adult in the UK, with short courses to teach people how to use simple AI tools effectively in the workplace.

Watching the Springsteen film. His birth scene taking place in America was already a little on the nose. But to have the baby wearing a pair of trainers as well? Come on now.

2 screenings a day at my local Odeon from Friday to next Thursday. Checked and there's a grand total of 2 tickets sold across all of them.

Both in the same seat, so I'm assuming it's the same guy seeing it twice.
It's weird that this is playing so widely in UK cinemas. Documentaries aren't usually a big draw. The guy from Vue says "if a film is BBFC approved then 99% of the time we will show it" but c'mon, lots of movies don't get shown at Vue. Certainly not on 100 screens www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026...

Paddington Bear (the film version) and the half-skeletal soul-eating bear thing from Annihilation were made by the same VFX team. They wanted to name Annihilation Bear after a less salubrious London railway station. It's called Homerton.

I am not making this up.
I think at this point the UK has accepted Paddington as the Death Bear, collector of souls. So, I think as a nation we should start smearing marmalade on the eyes of the dead and whisper “fare for the crossing”. It’ll feel weird now but, in three of four generations, no one will question it.
