One oft-repeated (and arguably sound) rationale is that the lack of appealing alternatives has fuelled voter apathy. In ON, that’s been the case, compounded by Ford manipulating.
My view is that, even if the alternatives aren’t ideal, it sends a message that electorate won’t tolerate corruption.

Conservatism has become a cult devoid of original thought and incapable of offering original policy that doesn't propose that Canada go backwards in time. Common sense is believing Conservatives when they represent themselves as dysfunctional.
