Canada admitted it was committing genocide on Indigenous children over 100 years ago.

Only ghouls demand bodies after the perpetrator has admitted guilt.
Say it with me: They weren't "Residential Schools".

They were FORCED LABOUR DEATH CAMPS that incarcerated Indigenous children as inmates.

#Genocide admitted by the chief Indian Agent of #Canada in 1914.

Read it and weep for the children, our cherished relatives.

Carney, as Chairman of the Board of Brookfield Asset Management, gave $250 million to Musk to turn Twitter into X.

Any questions?
For some reason Brookfield Asset Management always gets left out of this - they gave $250 million USD to the purchase of X/Twitter.
It was run by Mark Carney at the time, who is now Canada's Prime Minister.

Taking a page out of the Harper playbook.

But no, not Prime Minister @mark-carney.bsky.social!

Not the man appointed as Bank of Canada Governor during the Harper years! Right?
This is gutting StatsCan
Look, as long as they don't fuck around with the mushroom census, it will still be the Statscan we know and love.

There is no perfection to be had in an inherently corrupting political system, but that doesn't mean that imperfect actors can't do things to improve our material conditions. I am immediately suspicious of any and all politicians, but there are definitely "worse" and "better." 1/4

Remember also that Chrétien took an Inuk child from his family.

Government-hired doctors were sterilizing Inuit women while Chrétien was Minister of Indian Affairs.

And Chrétien was one of the whites participating in the genocidal state kidnapping of Inuit children.

Happy birthday to Chrétien indeed, @mark-carney.bsky.social.

But your father was a residential school principal, so we know how you were raised.

Do Canadian MPs actually connect with the public on X?

I looked at RTs and views for every tweet* sent by Liberal MPs yesterday

Out of 46 tweets, 21 Liberal MPs racked up a combined 475 retweets

34% had zero RTs. Only 17% got more than 10 RTs

3 tweets accounted for over half of all engagement

The Canadian public does NOT use X as a resource for communicating with the government or each other. While it was a useful resource, that time has passed and now it is a vehicle for disinformation, hate speech, and CSAM. #BanXNow @evansolomon.bsky.social @mark-carney.bsky.social. #cdnpoli

Jean Chrétien’s refusal to address the sexual sterilization of Inuit women, personal participation in the 60s Scoop genocide, and lifelong commitment to the apartheid administration of Natives by Canada has built a deplorable legacy for our de facto country.

Doubtful they shoot any babies.

But watch them use it as an excuse for taking babies into child protective services.
Or ... or you'll ... shoot the babies?

DHS I don't know if you were all absent on training day but you can't shoot babies even if you don't like their parents. There is nothing that can be happening with a baby that makes it ok to shoot babies.

I understand why Nazi Germany's filming of atrocities is cited as an eventual comeuppance for Trump.

It is comforting to think that the Trump regime will be punished for celebrating their own attrocities.

But remember that the Nazis were in power for 12 years before their downfall.

Nazi see Nazi do.
This slogan adopted by Kristi Noem, "One of Ours, All of Yours," is taken from the Nazis, who retaliated for the killing of an SS officer by murdering all the inhabitants of the Czech village of Lidice, apparently none of whom had anything to do with it, and razing the village to the ground.

To be perfectly candid, let them direct their monetary policy by political pressure and intimidation.

After all, it's worked out so well for all the other dictatorships.

Let them purposefully tank their economy. It will ruin them.
Jerome Powell: "This is about whether the Fed will be able to continue to set interest rates based on evidence and economic conditions—or whether instead monetary policy will be directed by political pressure or intimidation."
