My Big Ex has just called! As suspected he had another bout of cancer but he's out of the woods and on the mend. Hurrah! He's still in Scotland tho. I'm so glad he's still alive!

Today next door's builders have parked in front of my house & every time they cut across my drive to go between the house & the van my motion sensors send me an alert. This is going to get real old real quick. (I don't mind them doing it, I just mind my phone going off every 5 minutes)

Had the invoice from electrician number 2 who actually did the job - with that plus electrician number 1 and the cost of the bulbs it's cost me just over £200 to get 13 kitchen bulbs changed

Today's plan was always to avoid the storm with earphones & Netflix. I'm enjoying Wayward immensely but also I'm soooo bored. Better bored than nervous I guess but I don't do bored easily.

Have planted some starter shrubs today in the vain hope that the wet autumn weather will give them a chance to get decently established before summer next year. I'm determined to get a pretty garden. Once the tree surgeons have taken away the out of control trees I'll be planting some more.

My kitchen lights are fixed! New electrian just got on with changing the bulbs & didn't destroy the ceiling or chat or anything! I shall call them again when sorting out the garage wiring makes it's way to the top of the to do list.

It can be a bit overcooked as it's only tablet hiding chicken for the cat, but she does need to be able to eat it!

Got the tree surgeons in to quote for getting rid of some giant shrubs. Only here 10 mins & multiple mentions of foreigners & boats. I wish I had the choice to use someone else but countryside living limits me & tbh I'd likely not find someone who thinks differently here. I hate it.

I've finally emptied the shed of the toot that's been piling up for the last 18 months or so... Took maybe half an hour & 2 journeys to run it to the tip. I don't know why I've been putting it off so long. Was easy in the end.
