i'm glad to hold SE's nuts to the fire abt AI, but using whataboutism logic to compare a game actively with AI features and one with none that is operated by a company that is talking about developing tools to automate QA with AI (but may not be used in the game in question at all) is odd.

using square enix as a gotcha vs people pointing out wwm is littered with gen ai doesn't work btw especially when myself and basically everyone i know would drop ffxiv if they started using gen ai in any part of it

The theft
The brainrot
The loss of work
The crumbling of creator rights
The destroying of the environment and infrastructure
But it's also the destroying of trust in anything that you’re not seeing with your own eyes right in front of you.
Wonder now turned to the narrowing of eyes in immediate scepticism seeing something magical.
Questioning the realness of everything from a stilted written apology to profound works by students in school.
It feels like a slow poison to creativity and humanity at large.
