I just finished a three-year term as an editor at an international relations journal. I began at the start of the LLM era but ended right in the middle of it. Our volume of submissions tripled and our desk reject rate rose to 75%. I have some thoughts.

Very pleased to see our new article out in JEPOP. It details some of the fascinating insights we gleaned from digitalising and cleaning almost 800 individual-level polls carried out by Gallup in Britain between 1955-1991.
For the historical polling nerds out there, an article about our project with @ropercenter.bsky.social that digitised ~800 surveys by Gallup poll in Britain between 1955 and 1991 has been published in JEPOP. The merged dataset contains over three-quarters of a million respondents.
