I’m pretty good with romance languages, but I checked out Polish on Duolingo and after about 3 lessons it felt like I had beefed with the toughest dude in the bar. I was like “This cauliflower-eared MF doesn’t even need vowels—I’m sorry, please don’t stand up, I’ll see myself out.”

I just want to say that I love you fuckers. Especially the freaks. I see you and I’m here for it. Gooble Gobble.

Rest in Peace, Tom Stoppard. Farewell to a truly brilliant man.

In Bologna. Please enjoy this photo my good friend took of the famously uncouth light source Manspreadio Lampusa.

I just want to say that I’m personally disgusted by most US policies right now. We should be fully supporting Ukraine, insisting on justice for Palestine, turning away from fossil fuels, making healthcare and education accessible to everyone, and treating immigrants humanely. Fuck this.
November 21, 2025 at 7:04 PM
The world desperately needs to stop burning fossil fuels, but the oligarchic kakistocracy in the US wants to start a war with oil-rich Venezuela to steal its resources. Iraq 2.0, without even trying very hard to sell it because they’ve got troops in our streets ready to crush dissent.

My tax dollars, when not buying bombs to drop on kids in Gaza or hiring boot camp washouts to cosplay as paramilitary thugs in Chicago, are apparently feeding lavish meals to antidemocratic billionaires and murderers. Awesome. I wonder when my Franco-Irish friend Gill O’teen will show up to dinner.

If I were in Game of Thrones, my household saying would be “This comment looks similar to others that have been reported.”

One of the most disingenuous arguments you will ever hear is when an opponent of your point of view re: collective policy says “Well why aren’t you doing it?” Examples: “Go fight for Ukraine personally, then” or “Invite a refugee family into your house, then.”

I have long felt that when the spatchcocked sellouts that comprise today’s Republican congress finally turn on Trump, they’ll do it out of self interest and in lockstep. Friends, I believe the moment is nigh.

If you’re looking for immersive folk horror, let David Barnett take you to seaside town Scuttler’s Cove, where London money and ye olde local gods are about to collide. Having visited Cornwall for the first time last year, I can tell you that this quick, fun read felt like going back there.

Out on my local trail a lot these days enjoying the last embers of the season. Late Autumn in Ohio is melancholy, cold, and beautiful—you can feel the snow coming.
