My English-Scots-Irish ancestors didn't die for multiculturalism; they killed for it. Killed Confederates who said shit exactly like this.

these guys are scary but also we’re going to humiliate them at the polls and enact a progressive agenda and they’ll look really bad in a few years
I’ve seen this person get retweeted by MAGA influencers like Benny Johnson. He’s not kidding. This is a real political goal he is pursuing. He has 425,000 followers on Facebook.

Bad Bunny’s show was beautiful. What a gorgeous tribute to Puerto Rico.

It can’t be lost on anyone that the performers are the ones being brutalized while forced to prove they belong here.

Trump aides, scrambling to clean up a mess: "umm...a staffed posted it!"

Trump, mere hours later: "no i posted that on purpose and stand by it"
BREAKING: Trump says he 'didn't make a mistake' with his racist video post.

Q:  "A number of Republicans are calling on you to apologize for that post. Is that something you're going to do?"

Trump: "No, I didn't make a mistake."

He adds later: "I guess it was a take off on the Lion King."

Every damn day he does something crazy and the entire MAGA leadership bends over backwards to pretend it wasn't crazy and to explain it away.

And then a few hours go by and he comes out and says "no, I did the crazy thing on purpose."

And repeat.

And the media never seems to remember that.

👀 Apparently, Ross Douthat invited Seth Harp to debate him on Douthat's "Interesting Times" NYT podcast. Harp says that the episode was recorded, Douthat got crushed, and RD/NYT decided not to publish it.

I wonder what "the least racist person anywhere in the world" would have to say about this.

Oh, wait. Shit. Awkward.
Last night, Trump posted a video to his social media platform that contained a racist clip showing Barack and Michelle Obama as monkeys. It's still up:

Everything happening now can be explained using Wilhoit’s Law - that the core of conservatism is that there are “in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect”.

Example: MAGA treatment of J6ers vs. Renee Good & Alex Pretti.

What the Noam Chomsky–Jeffrey Epstein E-mails Tell Us
Chomsky has often suffered fools, knaves, and criminals too lightly. Epstein was one of them. But that doesn’t mean Chomsky was part of the “Epstein class.”

Every complaint I had against Chomsky concerned the same problem: the way he excused or dismissed atrocities committed by his team: ie regimes and forces opposed to Western hegemonic power. As his friend, Epstein was given the same pass.
In other words, it's not an anomaly.
It's the same story.
