Pretty sure there is an explicit law against using the CIA as a domestic investigatory body. Why is the DNI director there?

People are going to really lose it if after all this, alot of Trump lackeys don’t end up in jail.
“.. U.S. Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard speaks on the phone while standing inside a vehicle loaded with boxes outside the Fulton County Election Hub and Operation Center after the FBI executed a search warrant there.”

IDK why right-wingers keep bringing up Obama's record deportations, it just shows that if you wanted to have a conservative immigration policy without partisan militias occupying cities and gunning people down in the streets you could do it and a lot of americans would be fine with it

Holy shit she squared up. I hadn’t seen this.

Dems more and more internalizing @joshtpm.bsky.social ‘s theory of Bitchslap Politics.
Toughest congressperson in America rears back for a punch, and refuses to cut short townhall, after asshole sprays her with something.

Remember kids,

Refugees *are not* asylum seekers. These are people who have already been vetted before they even cross our border into our country. Everything about their journey and stay is perfectly legal. It’s just that the current administration hates immigrants.
We profiled refugees who:

Arrived in the country legally.

Applied for green cards.

Were arrested by ICE and detained.

One refugee who was arrested found out they got their green card after being released.

This is an unprecedented operation.

Since Border Patrol agents shot and killed protester Alex Pretti in Minneapolis, Angelenos have worried violence and increased ICE presence could be headed to Southern California.

Bill Melugin is not an idiot. He also an, otherwise, sensible guy with an ability to be empathetic. You know, in between his day job of sensationalizing anything involving Latinos and immigration. If this is the direction Fox is going, then something is definitely shifting.
Fox correspondent Bill Melugin’s stark acknowledgement that "videos appear to show [Pretti] never drew his holstered firearm" was whiplash-inducing for anyone who had been following Fox’s on-air coverage of the killing -- and it marked a major shift.

The US, Mexico, and Canada were the safe choice after the corruption around Qatar.

Oops.
Seems pretty clear that all it will take to tank the World Cup and possibly the Olympics in the US is one or two countries saying they won't send players, reporters or fans. The dominoes will fall pretty quickly after that.
Italian journalists of RAI (the Italian major TV and public station) stopped and threatened by ICE. This should not be the narrative the US government wants to send abroad.

You know something is seriously broken and messed up when Resister-elders are talking like Qanon… and still possibly being right.
Does anyone get the feeling they unloaded ten shots to make sure Pretti could never live to tell the tale? Same with Renee Good. The first two shots were non-lethal. It was the third shot into her left temple from the side of the car that killed her, according to the autopsy.
Wow! This read-along of the NYT moment-by-moment leading to the murder of Alex Pretti should shake everyone awake. He was a Good Samaritan.

Agents fired at least ten shots in roughly five seconds. DHS and Pam Bondi claim Pretti approached them armed and intent on a “massacre.”

Hes right. It’ll be America’s Reichstag Fire
I am as explicitly as possible laying down a date-stamped marker that a federal immigration agent is going to die violently within the next calendar year, and that this will retroactively be used to justify policy. I am saying it here so I can angrily quote this at media figures when it happens.

Legends say the goons had a hard time subduing the man for the fact that his balls we’re made of Wolverine’s Bones.

Hero
This is courage. Looking a masked, government fascist dead in the eye, face to face, knowing full well that your life is on the line.

If elected officials had 1/10th of Alex Pretti's resolve, we would have far fewer troubles.

Holy crap.

This is the most damning video yet.

It shows Border Patrol agents clearly taking Alex's firearm, running it away, and THEN executed him in cold blood by emptying a clip into his face.

Murder.

🚨HOLY CRAP. An ICE whistleblower just revealed a secret memo authorizing ICE officers to break into homes without a judicial warrant, which DHS's own legal training materials say is unconstitutional!

ICE then hid the memo from the public, passing it along by word of mouth and private conversation.

The Republicans have declared war on Hmong people.

Republicans are ghouls.
New — I wrote about ChongLy Scott Thao, the elderly Hmong American wrongly arrested and forced out of his home by ICE in his underwear during the punishing Minnesota winter, what witnesses saw, and DHS's racist claim that he fit the description of another Asian man they were looking for.

My story:
Behind the disturbing image of ICE snatching a half-naked, elderly Hmong American from his home
DHS has claimed without evidence that they were looking for someone else when they took ChongLy Scott Thao.
