I don’t know how to tell people this but more women/BIPOC/LGBTQ artists winning things and gaining popularity was not supposed to be a cute trend and then a return to normality. It was supposed to be progress that we continued making.

WTF? Not only is this standard operating procedure in the Romance world, but most authors do this to some extent. Every Stephen King book is linked in some way or another. Avid readers in all genres know this.

It sickens me how true this is.
It’s been pretty clear for a while but brought to rack focus today, that successful people are encouraged to view rape as a perk of success and a great many successful people need no encouragement at all.

This! I hate this bs of publishing books to “tell all” after the fact. These emails years after the fact are just as bad, if not worse. The cult is already formed and brainwashed. This won’t open as many eyes as it should and as it would have 10 years ago.
