The Duster Bluffs in Big Hops is totally inspired by Bianco Hills in Mario Sunshine. The windmills for sure, but also, the piece of music has the same string of notes as the bianco hills theme inside it!
It's so cool to see the inspiration here as a Mario Sunshine obsessive 😅 loving it a lot!

Just watched Baz Luhrmann's Strictly Ballroom for the first time. What a gorgeous film, and you can see so much of what would end up in romeo+juliet and Moulin Rouge in it.
Some dated language use (particularly an out of nowhere homophobic slur) but has aged generally pretty well, too!
