There's nothing like a poorly maintained gravelly sidewalk to put a literal spring in your step as you trip or stumble. No sidewalk means putting your life in the hands of already distracted drivers, hoping they see you walking. Feels like a super basic need to fulfill. Good read.

100% correct. Once the media and talking heads started making us equate quality with how much money it made, we started thinking it must be good if it made so much money from people watching it. Theaters also don't let slow-money performers get their bearings before being pulled!
