Hiii :)

I'm Leo, an illustration student and occasional puppet maker. I specialize in character design and comic art.

I'm currently working on my very first graphic novel, a queer retelling of Faust set in a vaudeville cabaret :)
Character lineup of 3 people. The first one is a heavier man in a corset that shows off top surgery scars, black pants, and spat shoes. The second is a skinny man in dirty clothes. He wears beige pants, a brown overcoat, a red vest, white button up, and black chelsea boots. The third is a tell woman with bright red, curly hair. She wears a corset and bra, red heart-shaped pasties, a red garter belt, black underwear, fishnet thigh highs, and black ankle high boots with leather staps and buckles. Comic splash page. The entire thing is coloured in shades of blue. Two young trans men are having sex in a hayloft, surrounded by discarded clothes, a bottle of lube, and an open backpack. On the floor beneath them, hooded figures are standing around a large pentagram drawn on the floor. The men have paused what they are doing upon hearing other people. TEXT: "I thought you said you made sure no one would be here." "I didn't think there would be." Pin up of a woman lounging on a bed surrounded by pillows. She is gossiping on a candlestick telephone. She wears a ruffled band on her upper arm, a pink bra-like top with two square pieces and lacing between them, matching pink underwear, and lavender thigh-high stockings. At her feet on his own pillow is the ugliest dog you have ever seen, bald and with cataracts. Puppet of Divine the drag queen in her red dress from Pink Flamingos. The puppet is made of a baby doll that's head has been cut in half. It has a bright yellow mullet and a form fitting red dress with tulle at the bottom. The person holding it up is almost visible, obscured by the puppet.

If you protested Jimmy Kimmel being pulled off the air by canceling Disney+ or some similarly simple action that had clear, direct, effective results, it feels good that you helped get him back, right? The neat part of you can choose another simple action, and keep that awesome feeling going.

1/2 An adaptation of a scene from Tehanu (my favorite Earthsea book) from 2023. TW for implied past child abuse? #thistlequestcomics
Page one. There are three panels. The top two are taking place in the same place, the same moment, but are separated in the middle to allude to the disconnect between Tenar and Therru. Therru stares, not playing as a young girl should, at her dolphin figurine. Burn scars cover the entire right side of her body. In the other panel, Tenar is hand sewing a red dress for Therru, looking concerned for the little girl. In the bottom panel, which takes up most of the bottom part of the page, some time has passed and Tenar is holding the finished dress. Around her we can see the trappings of their everyday life: shoes, jackets, slippers, baskets, etc. Tenar gazes at the dress softly, with love. Page two. There are six panels. Therru comes into the main living space from another room wearing the red dress with a white smock over it. In the next panel, Tenar smiles at her lovingly, “Now then, you look beautiful.” The next two panels shrink a bit, trapping Therru in slightly smaller boxes than the ones that Tenar occupies on this page. Therru looks at the dress, and then looks away, clearly feeling some manner of discomfort. In the next panel Tenar gazes at her sadly, recognizing that Therru is having a difficult time embracing this dress due to her past. She tries to assure her, “You are beautiful.” Page three. Tenar approaches Therru, and lowers herself to the ground. “Listen to me Therru, come here” In the next panel Therru continues not to meet Tenar’s eye as Tenar says, “Therru….” The next panel takes up the entire width of the page. For a moment they exist in a space of color and feeling. Therru stands silently while Tenar kneels, the both of them encroached on either side by darkness. Tenar takes a deep, sad breath, and in the page’s final panel, she begins to speak, “You have scars, ugly scars, because an ugly, evil thing was done to you.”
