This tiny T. rex is actually a new species. Nanotyrannus settles a big and 'acrimonius' paleontology debate. #TRex #Dinosaurs

Another fundamentally cynical aspect of this narrative is the idea that pundits like Douthats wouldn't *also* accuse Democrats of radicalism if they passed a bunch of 'kitchen-table' policies. Are we really gonna pretend the NYT op-ed page would support a $20 minimum wage?
This right here, this exact sentence, is THE problem in American political journalism.

The IRA *was* cheap energy and good jobs! That was the whole bill! Democrats did precisely what political pundits are telling them to do and the pundits just ignore it.
Thank you I made the sauce from scratch in place of canned soup :)
I thought I was going to be working tonight, so I didn’t have any plans. Instead I made tuna noodle casserole
Thought I had to work tonight and unexpectedly got the evening off instead and now I have no costume AMA

Interesting paper! When you ask people about the most important issue "facing the country," they often say immigration. But when you ask them about issues facing them personally, it doesn't crack the top 10.

This indicates that voters are reacting to media narratives, not their own experience.
You have to read it like “dO tHiS, oR tHiS; tAkE iN tHaT kInGdOm, AnD eNfRaNcHiSe ThAt”
There’s this great quote from Shakespeare’s ANTONY AND CLEOPATRA where Cleo is mocking Octavius Caesar that encapsulates how it feels to have a job sometimes: “Do this, or this;
Take in that kingdom, and enfranchise that.
Perform ’t, or else we damn thee.”
Just had a flashback of the “Larger Than Life” music video being an early gay awakening tbh

Do not be a doomer about this. Just call your New York friends and remind them to vote, and tell them to do the same. He is more popular and will win with good turnout.
i hate to be that bitch, but my sources are telling me this early voting data has gotten Zohran's people rightly spooked and y'all better stop assuming this one's in the bag. GOTV
Voter turnout surges in NYC mayor’s race, with Boomers and Gen X leading the charge
The data so far is good news for independent candidate Andrew Cuomo, a political scientist said.

I can’t believe I picked a career that has homework (I’ve been writing dance blocking notes and drawing diagrams from rehearsal videos to prepare for tech rehearsals)

The Trump admin is fully powered by the attention economy. A universe of dumbasess talking to other dumbasess, built on the assumption our tastes have grown so rotten and atrophied that we can't even remember a world where we weren't inundated by worthless slop.

We gotta do a nationwide inquest into antisocial behavior. Leaving your dog's poop on the street. Not returning shopping carts. The What's Wrong With You initiative
people playing music/videos on their phone speakers in public is more than just mildly annoying and is instead a leading indicator of the decline of community and empath
Do you have any extremely niche, but serious, ethical stances?

Tbh, I think Pokémon doesn’t feel as special to some people as it did when they were 8 years old and they think it’s Pokémon’s fault that they’ve lost that childlike sense of wonder

Thrillingly, my partner has the opposite experience where he doesn’t notice the dirt that seems very apparent to me and so I’m always cleaning to manage my anxiety. I guess I could have worse habits though
I’m pretty sure this contamination anxiety thing runs in the family though because my mom, uncle, and brother are all the same way
Having weird anxiety about my house being dirty in spite of *a lot* of cleaning this week, which is a fun mental health development. I’ve also washed just about every dish and utensil we own but to be fair we moved recently and a lot of them did pick up some dirt and dust in that process
