genuinely watch this whole thing, got a few songs i've been bumping recently from seeing what Mex & my fellow collaborators were vibing to this year
Like I am aware having a 6 minute slowburn reveal video in front of a completely unrelated sonic movie review wouldn't make any sense to the algorithm and some of the people who watched it. But it's what I wanted to do. It made the most sense to me, and that's the most important factor.

If you're like me and you want to be entertaining and brighten people's day, you won't get it by trying to be exactly what they or the medium want to see. Being unconditionally yourself and making what YOU want to see is 100x more fulfilling, and your followers will love that energy

As much as I love my YouTube subscribers I hope it's obvious that 95% of the reason I post anything online is exclusively because I want to and I don't take any of their requests into consideration if I don't want to do it
Friend was venting a bit about struggling with "moot perception" and I think in 2026 some of you need to regain control and agency of your spaces. Having the "what will my followers think" mindset is self-harming. It's your account, with your rules, and every follower is a guest. Don't forget that.

Best move i ever made was moving to TIDAL. Pay their artists WAY better, still have Lossless quality, and is very close to Spotify in terms of layout and usability. Lacks some of the connectivity to other devices that spotify did, but it's things I can easily live without. Moving my music was easy
