CW abuse.

Therapy isn't the solution for abuse. Therapy doesn't make people non-abusive. Many times, abusers go to therapy and just gain the tools manipulate and control their victims better.
I appreciate your working towards expanding access to the vaccine and I really hope that your campaign is successful. I had been trying to do the same for the COVID vaccine as well

Chikungunya is very common in Trinidad and I never even knew there was a vaccine for it! Global vaccine apartheids are such violence.

Please support this important request to help increase global access to this vaccine, especially if you are someone in the Global North.
Depathologising my madness and learning to accept it as a part of me has made my life so much more full and whole and rich ever since. I still have to find ways to adjust so that I can adapt to life under capitalism, but that doesn't make my madness inherently wrong.
I'm so tired of living under white supremacy. It's so damaging to your spirit.
CW abuse.
In an abusive relationship, the perpetrator makes the biggest power grabs when he feels his control over the victim is slipping.

I’m keeping that in mind whenever we see massive escalations from Trump. It’s all still very dangerous. But these moments are a sign of weakness, not strength.
Both the fights for survivor justice and for COVID justice are the same fights for epistemic justice in the face of the discrediting and silencing power of sanism and ableism.
And it's interesting how the SAME sanist reasoning that is being used to deny the reality of COVID is also what's used to deny survivors credibility. If you do not believe what disabled people have been telling you about COVID, then I cannot believe that you truly support survivors either.
There's no way that you can claim to care about survivors and not take COVID seriously. Just none at all. COVID is one of the biggest threats to survivors now, its effects more rapid than the climate crisis and almost any other mass disabling and destabilising event that we're facing now.
All while suicide remains criminalised, so that people can't even access their last moments peacefully.
CW suicide.

This suicide prevention month, I feel so much grief for everyone who is being forced into suicide because they're being denied access to the resources they need to survive.
CW abuse.

So much of why we don't believe survivors and why we support their abusers instead is because of psychiatry. Psychiatry encourages us to vilify, victim-blame and abandon survivors and sympathise with their abusers. I believe in psych abolition in no small part because of survivors.

CW abuse.

Abuse literacy literally saved my life.

It helped me stop believing my abusers' promises that they'd changed + to recognise how I'd been viewing harassment as flattering because I thought it meant they missed me. Abusers really rely on our being uneducated about the dynamics of abuse
Like. Imagine if we actually listened to survivors. And stopped giving abusers, all abusers, access to even more power.
CW rape.

This. It's the same ideology underscoring his actions in both cases. It's rape culture manifesting at a larger scale. We need to stop platforming rapists and allowing them access to power.
A reminder that anti-violence advocates have been aware of and opposed to Donald Trump’s violent misogyny since his first presidential campaign.

There is a cost to giving rapists the benefit of the doubt when they’re seeking a new powerful position. We could have avoided all of this.

Children are not property. Parents do not get to do whatever they want to them and claim it's fine because it's their child and that no one has any right to butt into their private family affairs when what they are doing places their child in danger. Children deserve better.
Fuck Taylor Swift. Fuck all billionaires. Fuck everyone who defends them in any way.
use our very small platforms to fundraise for Palestinians (and for one another). A billionaire with a reach and influence as Taylor Swift does can have unimaginable sway over public opinion of the genocide. It's absurd and insulting to dismiss that valid class critique as being "anti-feminist".
But then again you are also a white person with an enormous platform that does not actively redistribute that power to empower racialised people. It makes sense that you're here defending a white billionaire. It's predominantly poor black and brown people with small platforms who
This is why I don't trust white feminists. Taylor swift is a billionaire with an enormous platform and degree of power to sway public influence. She could use that platform to fundraise for Palestinians as well and to encourage boycotting.
