People keep saying "young people have had it hard for ages in the UK" without realising that means that anyone under the age of 35 has had it hard their entire adult lives.

I think it is super telling that no MPs other than the @greenparty.org.uk is saying that trans people are being targeted and the policy is aimed at them. Just that they are distressed by "stuff"
Imagine being turned away from a bathroom, hospital, or cinema for “not looking female enough”. The leaked EHRC guidance could do just that. Along with my Lib Dem colleagues, I’ve written to the Minister calling for new, inclusive, practical guidance that protects everyone’s rights.

In fairness to Kemi, Jesus used magic and someone else's bread and fish dinner to feed all those people. The Christian thing would be to use a miracle to solve the problem.

This is shocking... and in my mind further supports the necessity for trans people to be sensible when it comes to risking arrest in the process of protesting their segregation and targeting, or accessing facilities.

There is every chance you will not be afforded fair treatment.

SEEN needs to address this openly, because what’s happening now is not just wrong, it’s dangerous. A journalist says he was “invited” to address a judge in a criminal trial. No standing. No role. No legitimacy. That alone demands scrutiny.

I care for a friend w/ complex needs cos it'd be near impossible to find appropriate care for them. The government pays me £200/mnth for doing it. A qualified carer would be £2500/mnth. I save the government 10s of 1000s every year & people that pay less than that in tax still look down on me.

The UK, where the day after a decision to take half a million children out of poverty, the media & political world has been full of sneering at those same children & their families, labelling them as ‘Benefits Street’, while the same people are moaning about a tax on £2m mansions. Shameful stuff.

Green Party Conference recently passed some amazing healthcare policy for the trans community. It commits us to an informed consent model of trans healthcare, a trans-led public inquiry into NHS care, a trans-inclusive ban on conversion therapy, and so much more.

This made me laugh an unreasonable amount for how silly it is
going to a star wars convention and insisting on pronouncing "sith" as if it's gaelic

I wonder why this might have happened...

Apply. Occam's. Razor.
Experts say it’s highly unusual for the White House to tell agents to give up custody of potential evidence in an investigation, as it did with the Tates.

“I’ve never heard of anything like that in my 30 years working,” an ex-DHS official said.
The White House Intervened on Behalf of Accused Sex Trafficker Andrew Tate During a Federal Investigation
Federal authorities were chided for seizing electronic devices from Tate and his brother, and told to return them, records and interviews show. Experts said the intervention was highly inappropriate.

"Getting universal basic income and potentially changing how we view gender" is way better than "braindead techno-fascism on a dying planet, but at least everyone is white"

Surely?!

Imagine the worst case scenario being that you sell for less than market value, and end up having to start again with 1.5mil and expecting anyone to give a shit.
why are these (definitely real) people are so determined to live with no spare money, particularly the one with kids at home, when they could simply move to another massive house and gain hundreds of thousands of pounds in cash?
November 27, 2025 at 5:10 PM
"I have a massive asset that I can't afford to maintain. What am I supposed to do?"

These people are wankers without material problems. Sacrifice. Sell it. Start again. Like everyone else...
Mumsnet is already on the case.

Really interesting idea. I wanted to understand it so went off & looked at data. These two are critical. The first shows that over 50% are in household poverty. 18% live in poverty families where both adults work. Work doesn’t pay, & welfare pay is dire too. Source: www.health.org.uk/evidence-hub...

The people who are angry at benefits claimants are not actually angry about them getting money... they're angry that because they know they have given up too much of themselves in return for a "better life"(more money); they aren't happy, and dont have any time to enjoy being alive.
