It's not against the law. But I think to say that the law enables peace of mind and freedom to exist without the risk of public humiliation isn't really considering how the real-world altercation would likely pan out for the trans person. You won't be prosecuted, sure, but you'd be targeted still.
Trans people in the UK can still use the toilets that match their gender. Yes, even after the Supreme Court ruling. Here's why:

I'm not legally literate so I don't understand how the Trust is meant to take seriously complaints about a person, when that person's behaviour is found to legally amount to harassment.

So, the tribunal says that the nurses suffered from harassment, but this wasn't perpetrated by the trans woman, and it wasn't perpetrated by the trust... the only logical conclusion here is that they harassed themselves through their own bigoted fears.
