A population coverage of over 16 million people in the review - and just two complaints for the entirety of 2024!

One complaint was about the 'guidelines' for transgender access to bathrooms.

The second complaint was based on the 'perceived' gender of a person. Not confirmed as a trans person.

Neither. Sex Matters has an insane amount of money, which allows them to make false claims about the law, use transphobic rhetoric, and not care about any legal challenge against them.

Apparently, they are comparing two groups, with one group experiencing an arbitrary one-year delay in prescription. But where is the group that skips the blockers entirely and goes straight to GAHT? You need to include that group as a variable for the study to be scientifically valid, right?
The “Pathways” trial is, IMO on more than one level, a thoroughly unethical piece of “research” to be carrying out on children, especially children who are part of a marginalised minority.

Also seeing well-meaning posters writing about an 'immediate start' versus 'delayed start' wing of the trial. No-one is getting 'immediate start'.

The level of questioning, assessments, examinations and review panels before eligibility is HUGE. No-one has immediate start - don't use this phrasing
Already seeing some terrible takes on here about supporting science re the puberty blocker trial.

Science that is unethical & designed terribly, influenced by those who don't want us to exist, is never ever going to lead to useful outcomes.

& this trial will cause immense harm to participants.

Under new NHS puberty blocker trial protocols, trans youth are being subjected to more than 50 assessments, intrusive exams, and over 13 hours of intrusive testing - just to access lifesaving healthcare

It demands young people re-live distress & undergo intimate examinations

In response to the laughable fiction presented in the letter sent by Sex Matters to BBC Board members, we have sent a rebuttal letter to clarify the real facts, rather than their Orwellian tale.

LGB Alliance comforting their members who are going to have issues. The speculation is not silly, it's legitimate for some who won't meet the standards of the person making decisions. God forbid a woman has a deep voice.
Who does this …reptile… think she is speaking for anyone else?

During Transgender Week of Awareness, I would love to be sharing the joy of being our true self, the history over millennia, or the biological aspects of trans folk.

But what really needs to be spread is the genocide. To all trans folk this comes with a trigger warning, cis folk need to read this.

A great shot across the bows of the BBC.

We refuse to no longer remain silent whilst our lives are debated with inaccuracies and untruths.

Fixed it for you. Idiots! If the exclusion is based on appearance then it will certainly impact cis folks as well as trans folks.

Nuanced take, I see the downside here RE cost (DIY is defs cheaper) but the more avenues for care in the UK + the more people publicly pushing for it, the better IMO. Hope it helps some folks. Based of Jude to put her own money behind it for no profit too, she’s a sweet l’il motherrfuckuerr 🫡

Do not adjust your set.

No, the journalist did not make a mistake.

Yes, it was a LABOUR MP who said this

Exclusive: Labour MP Calls For Welfare Bill To Be Slashed By £20 Billion
Chris Curtis said the government had not been "ambitious enough" when it failed to shave £5 billion off the bill.

Today, on #TDOR, we honour and mourn all the trans people whose lives were taken by hatred, violence and neglect.

Their lives mattered. Their futures mattered.

With courage and solidarity, we will build a future where every trans person is free to thrive.

I’ve taken a brief look at the Equality Act 2010, especially the parts on associations, and what stands out is that it says nothing about office-bearers. Only memberships are regulated. I don’t think a quota qualifies as an “other detriment” against a member.

So wtf is going on in LD & Lab?

This is something we have been telling MPs for a long time.

The real impact of this CoP is not trans folk, the real impact will be felt on cisgender women.
i think if @bphillipsonmp.bsky.social implements that ehrc guidance it might be the start of the end for 'gender critical'.

that guidance is going to negatively impact cisgender women more frequently than it harms trans women simply by dint of there being more cisgender women in the country.
