Coaxing heavy metal into the sky, then wrasslin’ and wranglin’ it back to the ground again. Cardigan aficionado. Queer with a homosexual sensibility. Seattle living and world gallivanting. I pretend to write. 🌈

There‘s a gay couple I know, and every look into their eyes is just so deep and pure and knowing. I can only wish to have that in my lifetime, and I’m so happy they’ve found it. I’m not there yet, and I may never be, but I’m at least here to witness it.

In the first post of 2026, I'm relatively tame, but I'm reiterating what I've said on here. Take a look!

The Breakup We All Need
I've been on social media for over half of my life. And truthfully? A lot of good has come from it. I love connecting with people, sharing my life, and keeping in touch with friends in family while I'...

Bids came out, and I got litrilly the opposite of what I wanted. My emotional support Labubu understands my concerns— nothing to look forward to, no man on my mind, grumpy all around. At least the sim instructor said I had "impressive" crosswind landings in Extended Envelope Training.

"Dial a disaster" for the year complete! Seat support was a retired AA captain who said my single engine work was great— "You fly a good airplane" is one of the highest compliments in my book. (The Labubu is just there to observe, not yet type-rated.)

Yet again, the federal government turns on its own citizens, and the people who bellyache about that during another presidential administration are silent. Shocking.

What are the chances that the Fed reduces rates again at their next meeting (end of the month)? Assuming we still have a Fed. Assuming a lot of things, really. I'm looking to refinance.

Executive decision that came with the New Year: I’m deleting social media apps from my phone. I’ll still be active via internet browsers, but this much access is too much. I’ll blog about it (follow me there!), but otherwise you know where to find me. 747 with a different snoot for clout.

I’m installing some nav lights. (What is this healing? I don’t know, but it can’t hurt.)

It’s not just manifesting when it’s an achievable goal, supported by The Universe— and cool people round these parts. You got this, Kendall! -CQ
I'm getting my SPL this year (for real this time)

"run by incompetent, senile men" Oh, little Marco. How right you are.

I can't *wait* to go fly in the Caribbean later this month! /s
Amid reports of explosions around Caracas, the US FAA issued a new NOTAM prohibiting US aircraft from operating at all altitudes within Venezuelan airspace as of 0600Z today, 3 Jan.

Flightradar24 is not currently tracking any aircraft over Venezuela.

New year, new journal. You will be written about 💅🏼 (Normally I’m a Moleskine girlie but lately I’ve liked this brand)

Truly one of the videos that, when I see it, I can’t not watch it. Perfection.
What the KENNEDY Center used to be…

Remember that time Aretha Franklin performed at the 2015 Kennedy Center Honors, paying tribute to Carole King, who co-wrote “You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman,” and it brought a tear to Obama’s eye and everyone to their feet? And Carole King’s reaction. Wow.

I mentioned as much over there, but threads’s algorithm and plethora of fake profiles is pushing me back over here more— the community feels more authentic. However, going into 2026, I’m going to rely less on social media, as much as I can.

It’s a clear PNW morning, but not up north— plenty of diversions from SEA at PDX. I’ve got my Stumptown and grabbed a book from Powell’s in the terminal to be as on brand as possible. North to Alaska to finish out the year!

I’m going to sound like a d-bag, but I need a cigarette— clicked off the autopilot and flight director to hand fly a visual approach, no PAPI, and greased the landing. I had to see if the ol’ girl could still do it. (I’m the ol’ girl. I can still do it.) 🚬

And to the man lurking my Bsky but not saying anything? You don’t own me 💅🏼

What do I have on underneath? That’s a very personal question (sexy compression socks, of course).

Tis the season: My winter solstice greeting is rolling up, physically, in some mailboxes— but here I present it to you digitally!

Our flight got pushed back a day, so I emailed ops to update our hotel reservations. “I don’t want a ‘no room at the inn’ situation on December 25th.” Sometimes I even annoy myself.

Winter solstice is my favorite holiday, because it teaches us that amidst the fruitful darkness, light emerges. I was lucky to spend it with my favorite cunty cousins, one all the way from Sweden. Blessed solstice to you all! ✨

What a waste of my time— I have something on my foot that needs attention. I got a referral to a podiatrist (am I old?) and scheduled an appointment. They asked for my insurance at that time, but only just told me, a day before, that they don’t accept it. I hate healthcare in America.

I don’t often (if ever) pass through PHX, but I remember this great spot in The Centurion Lounge where you can sit and plane spot.

Fine. I’ll admit it. I flew Economy to Santa Fe (on a CRJ 🤢) and it wasn’t that bad. I can be common!
