Well the good news is, now that he’s indicted one of his political enemies on bullshit charges, he’ll probably stop, and it definitely won’t escalate from here.

From purely a product rollout standpoint, AI is a disaster. At this point, everyone I know has had some personal experience with AI being ludicrously (but very confidently) wrong. When you're allowing your users to experience your product in such a negative way, while insisting it works? That's BAD.

If you're an author, you're probably fretting over your next bookstore event. Will anyone show up? Will anyone buy the book? Will the floor helpfully open up and swallow you whole so you don't have to face a sea of empty chairs?
