Just saw someone claim that authors who want to be paid for their work are "class traitors" because we "only let the wealthy" read our books, and I think I need to go into the woods to scream into the night for a bit.

It's $5, not your first-born child! I need that $5 for health insurance!

Today I learned that no matter how much they show people having a lovely relaxing time on long haul train trips: reading books, watching the world go by etc. you can’t draw for shit when you’re being ping ponged about in a metal tube with all the suspension softness of a bike with square wheels.

God almighty it’s 7:45 I’ve been on trains since 6am, and awake since 5am and I’ve still got another 2 hours to get from Paddington to Bristol.
