Heya folks, I've been doing a lot of follows on this site based on interests and posts in common, while others of you have found me, probably from my profile. And I love making friends! But people in the SPN fandom have strong opinions, and I figure I should make where I stand clear from the start.

Or you could just not use the site; I've found dissecting things for their tropes actually decreases my enjoyment in the end. But more importantly, decisions like these are good reminders that sites that won't let you in without demanding unnecessary data aren't to be trusted.
TV Tropes is blocking access to the site not only if you have ad blockers on but location tracking off unless you want to subscribe to their $5 a month/$25 a year subscription plan. Even people who have turned their ad blockers off are reporting the site isn’t working. This all seems like a bad idea

Fix this: I hate that you can't block bigots without deleting every rebuttal to their bigotry you made when it breaks the thread. There needs to be a way to push back against Nazi bullshit, and then prevent the Nazi from interacting once you've made your point without erasing all the work you did.

FFS, kids, don't do this shit. Not only are you CENSORING A BOOK, you are censoring someone else's real, recorded queer history. This isn't something to be proud of. It's pathetic. We have to fight hard enough to keep copies of Gender Queer: A Memoir in libraries in the first place.

In the second panel, a group of friends are sitting together in college watching the TV show Supernatural. One asks, "When did you first ship Sam & Dean?" and the other responds, "When Dean pushed Sam against the bridge in the first episode!" However, this censoring idiot has physically covered "Sam" with masking tape and written "Cas" [even though that makes no sense in the context of that ship's history, FFS, Cas didn't come in until Season 4]. They then proudly explain they "HAD" to censor it because the original sentence contains incest and it's "Nastyyyyy". And I guess they think their opinion gives them the right to tell other queers how to tell their history.
This is embarrassing, juvenile behavior, and it's HARMFUL. IDGAF what you ship - editing someone else's real, lived queer history because their experiences don't match your sense of propriety is appalling on every level. Good job doing the fascists' work for us, and I mean that sincerely. When we tell people they can't talk about their queerness unless they lived it according to our standards, we deny them the right to be real and authentic. It's no different than some asshole editing a queer couple to be straight to suit their sense of appropriateness.
