The monks were kind, and sparked in me my true passion - kung fu. • I spent decades mastering the Confluence of Four Winds style, until the heavens trembled at my command. But it was not enough! I set out to travel the world, so that I might find new teachers and render aid to the powerless. Long days of flying, long nights resting under the open sky, the constant battle to hone the body and mind. That is a life well lived! I spent perhaps forty years on the wing, earning food and lodging as a solo rescuer. • How did I meet Ea? In a small village deep in Wellspring Forest, I encountered a strange blue feline, of a species I had never before seen. Sensing a powerful aura, I challenged him - and was promptly defeated! • I wished to learn from this great master, while his friend sought members for their rescue team. We reached an agreement. • Truth be told, joining Team Petrichor was an auspicious choice. Gwyn is likewise a worthy opponent, although she lacks proper discipline and moral grounding. Naryana has great potential, but is trapped by her own demons. I hope I may be of some help to her. • If Ea is to be believed, there are other ageless beings like him, living in the deep recesses of the world. I will find them and challenge them, and learn what I can. Perhaps one lifetime is not enough to become the greatest warrior under heaven, but my spirit will burn bright until the last! That is all. Now sit with me and recite the sutras. Cleanse the six senses, and let your spirit take flight. One day, it will soar as high as the stars.

Whenever I get a new icon, there is a period of time where I act like a bird failing the Mirror Test and my brain goes "ohoho who is this pretty bird" every time it is onscreen

abolishing ICE isn't even going to be the endpoint, the people working for them are going to need to face tribunals. they cannot be allowed to simply disperse into the rest of polite society. we've seen the consequences of failing to follow through with denazification before.

I really hate to be confrontational but if at this point you are comfy using or sharing gen AI "art" of any kind or publicly posting anything of the form "I asked [LLM] and..." then I really don't think we can interact in any capacity. At this point it just makes me sick and is a hard 🚫DNI🚫

Gamesh the Waykeeper
A reference sheet for a Bibarel named Gamesh (the pokemon, it’s a brown beaver creature). He’s standing up and waving, and is wearing a smock with a syringe and several pockets. He has a Rescue Team badge. Below, he’s happily walking on all fours, and singing the tune for Loch Lomond. Text: A few of my favorite things about Gamesh: • He’s really smart! Even though he’s from Four Pines, a tiny riverbank town way out in the middle of nowhere, he traveled all the way to the Black Mountain to study at the Great Library and become a waykeeper! • Even when he finished his studied and could’ve stayed at Black Mountain, he came back to Four Pines to help out the town! He’s a doctor, and gets lots of patients from up and down the river too. • When he’s not doing doctor stuff, he helps out at the local school. He’s great with kids! • He found me on the riverbank after I got caught in a horrible rainstorm and ended up swept down the river. He’s a real sweetheart, so of course he took me in and helped me get back on my feet. • After Naryana’s partner died, she needed a new medic for her Rescue Team, and I kinda roped him into helping out. He can’t do much in a fight, but he organizes all our gear and provisions, and patches us up when we get hurt.

I kinda want something with the incentive/habit-forming structure of Duolingo that doesn't suck ass. Even before their descent into AI trash I just don't really like the "inductive" approach to language learning that doesn't really dig into the underlying structure of the language much
