The newest WIP #embroidery #art is the caucus race. I love this image but can't find the source. Just 1 person sharing on Flickr, so if you know the illustration please share. I altered it by adding enough to make it round (circular frame planned) and adding the mouse.

The reality on homesteads is that what they largely did was (a) plant a large amount of cash crop and (b) plant a smaller kitchen garden.
If your cash crop came in, most of it would get sold, which would then get traded for machinery / subsistence food to make it through winter.

This! Every day as I struggle to focus on doing 1 task at a time while dealing with #chronicpain I become more and more pleased at my wins. I stood up and dressed myself on my own. I played fetch with my #servicedog Today is good!
