Jimmy Kimmel joined us on Saturday. He’s local, he’s joined us before, and few of us realize until he posts afterwards. This time he’s disguised by a YETI hat. 😂

Thirty point swing to Democrats deep in the heart of Texas.
Hard to overstate how big a deal a Rehmet win would be. Tarrant County is the epicenter of Christian nationalism in Texas, an incubator for far-right policies, and nexus of billionaire Tim Dunn's network, which is riding hard for Wambsganss. Rehmet almost entirely funded by donations of $100 or less
‼️‼️ Still a lot TBD, but Rehmet is leading early vote count by **13 POINTS** in a district that Trump won by 17 points. I'll be updating in this thread throughout the night.

Thankfully Liam and his Dad are being released. Now do everyone else who isn’t a criminal, especially the children.
“On Saturday, as this longest of months comes to a close, a federal judge in Texas granted a writ of habeas corpus ordering the release of 5-year-old Liam Ramos and his father, Adrian Conejo Arias.”

In today’s Law Dork:
Minnesota's effort to end the surge is rejected as journalists are arrested, but pushback continues
A judge denied Minnesota's ambitious request — a day after Don Lemon and Georgia Fort were arrested. But, in Texas, a judge orders 5-year-old Liam Ramos and his dad released.

ICE OUT For Good in Torrance, CA. About 1,200 of us standing on all four corners of a busy intersection. We organize these smaller events with short notice and people appear!!! Lots of positive honks. Deafening really. Save the date for the next No Kings, March 28. #NoKings #AbolishIce ❌👑

One of the big trends in opposition activism during Trump 2.0 has been the localism of protest. This level of organizing is pretty astonishing to watch, and anyone who insists that there haven't been any protests against Trump is simply ignoring it www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archiv...

The prevailing consensus over the last year was that anyone calling for a general strike was ridiculous and ignorant and it would never work here, and maybe that’s true nationally, I dunno, but I bet those people wouldn’t have seen tomorrow in MN coming either
National media should really be covering the fact thay every major school, museum, and arts institution in the Twin Cities, and hundreds of local businesses are closed tomorrow to protest federal occupation.

Nothing like this at this scale has happened anywhere in America anytime in living memory.

Sen Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) does not mince words here with his take on the strikes in Venezuela and the capturing of Maduro. ‘This is a dumb administration following a dumb man into a dumb war that will have dumb outcomes.’ Go Sen Gallego, more of this please Democrats!! Bravo💥🔥💥

Rob Reiner was very active in LA, always showing up at protests and lending his voice for justice. Such a tragedy. 💔💔💔
Rob Reiner was one of the key people behind the effort to go to court to overturn California's anti-marriage equality Proposition 8 when it passed in 2008.

Working with Chad Griffin, they founded the American Foundation for Equal Rights and got Ted Olson and David Boies to team up to fight Prop 8.

Chris Murphy: "There will be pretty substantial damage to a Dem brand that has been rehabilitated if on the heels of an election in which the people told us to keep fighting, we immediately stop... if we surrender without having gotten anything, I worry it'll be hard to get them back up off the mat"

California voters just said F*CK NO to Trump’s authoritarian power grab!

Prop 50 is more than a ballot measure, it’s a blueprint for how we defend democracy. It proves that when voters are given the chance to stand up and fight back, they do — by huge margins and despite relentless intimidation.

Republicans who think your seat is safe: no it's not
Looks like the Dems will pick up 12 seats in the VA House of Delegates, which will go from 51-49 to 63-37 D-R. That's an honestly shocking result.
