My stance remains unchanged.

The politics of 9/11 may not be strong enough to take down the New York mayoral frontrunner. But they'll burn the social fabric of the city they claim to save

It’s late, I should already be asleep, I have no idea what he actually meant, but I certainly could believe that Trump saw all the news about Russia’s Burvestnik test, his smooth brain interpreted it as a big bang nuke test like in the time of yore, and now he is sad.

The US has a massive advantage at non-yield producing testing methods in technology and expertise, so of course this would be another unforced giveaway to Moscow and Beijing.

"Tzefardea Tzedek" (Frog of Righteousness)

As soon as the Portland Frog became a meme, Jewish social media blew up with jokes about the 2nd Passover plague - tzefarde'a (frogs) - and the Rabbinical commentary around it. I knew I had to make a calligraphy piece encompassing all of it. (more in alt.)

Abolishing ICE is insufficient. Investigations and prosecutions must happen. People have to go jail. Others have to be barred from ever working in law enforcement ever again.

That’s the official answer.

In another world, the House might convene anyway, elect a speaker pro tempore and go about its business.
On the point that a majority would prefer to be in session right now, you can just do things—or, at least, so the Senate would say.
An instance in which the Senate, *without any authority for doing so*, convened earlier than the time to which it adjourned ⬇️

Everyone in that room knows that applauding any part of this speech would be welcomed by these guys. There's precisely zero chance they face backlash for caving right now. They aren't because they know it's wrong and because it still matters to them.
"if you want to applaud, then applaud" and everyone for the rest of the speech staying stone cold silent is absolutely devastating
