Setting aside the fact that no show which shat the bed as severely as TDP deserves to keep going, I wonder how many pledgers properly understand that this KS ISN'T for a new show, but for an animated short and other media that they can use as a PITCH to potential partners to MAYBE make a new show.

where I grew up we called common terrestrial isopods: butchy boys
I learned about the pink ones, and I'm drawn to them a lot. I also learned that the vivarium they require is not too large, so it is a good pet for small spaces 🩷 when I was small I would put butchy boys in a cardboard box to watch

My armchair psychologist reading is that the toxic culture of their nation makes American audiences genuinely believe that the only way to instigate systematic change is through violent action, which is why they chafe whenever their idealised revolutionary is depicted in an antagonistic role.

I think back to the way people were discussing Riddler from The Batman and were upset with his ultimate plan to bomb Gotham, missing all the obvious signs that he was a deranged, unhinged maniac obsessed with revenge because they kept going "based" in their heads every time he killed a politician.
