Out now: SONIC THE COMIC THE PODCAST #165! The Shanazar saga is over at last - but is anything really different, and does it even make sense? PLUS: The FALSE Timmy Mallett! How NOT to use a Whoopee Cushion! AND: How bored do you have to be to play Pokemon Yellow?

Which sucks as much as or more than the other prices rises, but not actually announcing what the new Commander price is severely harms the understanding of why these less-than-full-commanders are the price they are.
chrismcfeely.bsky.social
Some very wobbly maths makes me think a Commander now costs in the vicinity of $110~.
chrismcfeely.bsky.social
(Note that in the UK, where prices haven't been raised due to tariffs, Nemesis is £75)
chrismcfeely.bsky.social
I think the question that the prices for this ($80) and Nemesis Prime ($90) invite is, how the fuck much does a regular Commander cost under the new price structure? It's got to be into three digits.

Excuse me, he costs fucking WHAT

Nobody could have imagined the future world that would find this funny and why
A boy running alongside a train with a bindle on a stick. A word balloon reads “I’m through with school- it’s only for sissies anyway. I’ll run away and- and make money with my FEET”

ME: "can you build me a machine that unloads the dishwasher for me so *i* can read a book?"

Pretty confused by how TRON became a big-budget movie franchise. Was it a bit hit when it came out? No. Did it become a big hit on video/TV? Also no. Do people have fond nostalgic memories of it? Eh kinda but not really. Was it secretly great and critically acclaimed? No again

Yeah, like, we saw the first wave of 2026 Age of the Primes in July. So assuming there's 4 waves next year, the next batch of stuff won't be out until Q2, literally six+ months away.

Not on any pre-existing Transformers media, nope!

witness: people being mad that the Timelines set is the only new thing they revealed today. Like YEAH. You really shouldn't be expecting to see NEXT SUMMER'S TOYS yet.
chrismcfeely.bsky.social
generally speaking it feels like we've got REALLY AHEAD with reveals for next year on the whole, and I don't know if that's just to head off leakers or stem angry comments in the chat when they don't show off things we know about already, but it all feels a bit much
chrismcfeely.bsky.social
Ugh, if next year's Timelines set isn't releasing until the same time as this year's Hearts of Steel set did, it's gonna be NEXT JULY before I can have moo-cow Optimus. Don't show me stuff I want SO EARLY

Also his null ray are 16th century Japanese rifles.

So I was reading a bit more about Tengu, the kind of Japaense demon Starscream's been done up as, and I've realised he's got extra turbine-nipples to look the pom-poms on the harnesses of the mountain hermits whose garb the Tengu's is modelled after. So you can't say they haven't worked at this!
chrismcfeely.bsky.social
hahaaa man, Starscream's bird-mode tail becoming a war-fan, and look at the way the trad Seeker cockpit is reimagined as the folds of a kimono. God this is just "Thing: Japan" but I'm here for it, they've got me

Okay, so admittedly the first Tron was a critical and box office flop, and the second Tron was also a critical and box office flop, but I have some high expectations for this new Tron starring a man who exclusively makes critical and box office flops!
