This SNL sketch from 1998 about America’s “media-opoly” makes some eerily timely points.

Corporations or ultra-wealthy individuals with numerous business interests cannot be trusted to prioritize the public’s right to know over their own financial interests.

Watch.

My Dad wants to get rid of cable, so he bought a tablo. But it isn't working with the new fiber router/ISP we got in December. But works with our old cable router/ISP. Tablo Support claims the fiber network has too much jitter, but I tested both and they are very similar
Technology is great isn't it
After a power outage in November, my TV and my AppleTV stopped being friends and I had to use three remotes. After being in a box for a month, everything works.

The DNC has full power and authority to appoint whoever they want as their Presidential candidate according to the DNC's bylaws, which is why in some states you can only vote in primaries if your a registered party member

Remember, no matter where you live, check your voter registration

Politicians react when they think their safe. For example, many Dems didn't endorse Mamdani because they knew it would cost them x voters, and don't trust that y voters would show up to support them enough to offset x voters, so they support the status quo
If you’re still hoping that Politicians are going to take action so that you don’t have to, you are part of the problem.

This is why I don't use biometrics, have 10 to 20 alphanumericpunc passwords, and avoid using location, Bluetooth, etc unless absolutely needed
Biometric locks for phones aren’t just convenient for you, they are convenient for the cops.

Exactly, and the more people that vote, the harder it is to manipulate and maintain legitimacy, and once legitimacy starts to falter this administration won't be able to compensate
I'll be honest, I don't expect fair elections for the midterms. But I'm going to push for voting anyway because we can't just hand this country over to them. We've got to fight to the bitter end to restore Democracy in this country.

It's on purpose, so that the will be afraid to speak out, so they will be made unsafe and have to protect themselves and their families instead of speaking out
“A review of 47 victims’ full names on Sunday found that 43 of them were left unredacted in files that were made public by the government on Friday, according to a Wall Street Journal analysis. Several women’s full names appeared more than 100 times in the files. “

And even if you didn't think Clinton and Harris were great candidates, they were clearly better than the alternative and could be pushed, while now we have to fight to defend the status quo. Anyone who disagrees is lying
We rejected great candidates like Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris in favor of a deranged narcissist, who promotes Project 2025, which aims to remove civil service protections and bring independent agencies like the DOJ and FBI under direct presidential control.

If it’s not an issue/ red flag to you that the government is using terms like “violent offenders, murders, sex offenders and drug traffickers” synonymously with immigrants, and don’t see the correlation between that and the increase of racial profiling, you deserve a vicious ass beating. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Nuclear weapons aren't even a real deterrent, with expansion of arsenals and new Nuclear powers, encouraging Nuclear Proliferation, which makes everyone less safe, no exceptions
Nuclear bombs are the ultimate weapon. Using them means risking the ultimate consequences. This is why in the final analysis, all talk of “sharing” nuclear weapons is dishonest. No country would launch a nuclear strike on another nation’s behalf

It's all #WhiteSupremacy, but it's largely only hatred against non-white immigrants, which historically includes the Irish, Italian, and other southern Europeans
I never knew how much hatred legal immigrants in this country have for illegal immigrants, its disgusting!

Remember, it took 57+ Dem Senators & ~75+ Dem House for FDR to pass the New Deal, Social Security, & flip SCOTUS liberal for ~35 years. LBJ had nearly the same to pass CRA64, Medicare/caid, VRA, HEA, I&NA65, CRA68, & other Great Society Programs. Dems haven't had that much power since 1968
It's a tie
But it's a great start with 95.3% of voters

The arrest of Don Lemon is textbook fascism—a brazen attempt to silence reporting on a criminal regime. Stand up for Don, because our rights stand and fall with those of courageous journalists throughout this country.

Indictment of Dan Lemon is a remarkably tendentious document, dressing up all manner of journalistic activity and planning as conspiracy to “intimidate” and “threaten.”

He may have to live through some pre-trial steps, but the case is going to crash and burn.

If you wouldn't want someone to find out what your doing because it would negatively effect you, then you're probably the bad guy

The reason you want people to vote even if they don't leave is because of legitimacy. If they lose by 10 votes people might excuse their lies, when they lose by 10,000, 100,000, or better millions, it becomes very hard to excuse their lies, creating a legitimacy crisis
I get it. We don't want to discourage people from voting.

But do you really think they're going to leave just because we vote them out?

"Those elections were fraudulent, we're not swearing those people in."

We are going to have to be in Washington D.C. by the millions to take back power.

This is the fundamental problem, too many white people don't see what's happening as an issue that effects them, just like most Germans under the NAZIs until it was too late
I think not enough white people are taking the voting rights issues seriously enough. They are killing people and then offering to stop killing if the state gives up the voter registration data. This should be setting off massive alarms for EVERYONE. (I’m looking at you, white people.)

My take is you make Hamas disarmament contingent on Israeli recognition of Palestine and withdraw all forces from around it
Gaza does not need another phase or “Board.” Gaza needs legal redress for an Israeli system of cruelty. It must be granted unimpeded ingress and egress by land, sea, and air. Gaza must not be condemned to survive as a managed humanitarian dependency, rationed by aid and policed by donors.

The Senate bill is written by GOPers and can be passed without Dem support if necessary, so Dems are trying to get as many reforms in as they can, since real reforms, funding cuts, and #AbolishICE cannot be achieved right now
The Senate bill is rooted in the idea that we just need to get BP/ICE "back to" only terrorizing people we deem worthy of being terrorized, and not White people. The exact problematic understanding people have been trying to warn against... While a lot of White people insisted that concern was silly

What's sad is, this isn't the first time Trump or even other GOPers have suggested taking everyone's guns

IF you ever get to vote again, vote purely Democrat. Only.

It's a two-party system. Either you vote for a Democrat, or you help the current Trump regime. Not voting helps Trump. Voting for a third party - any third party - is a wasted vote that helps Trump.

Vote only for Democrats, no excuses.
