Hey, thanks for asking ! I'm writing a cozy fantasy story wherein a socially anxious, kleptomaniac woman investigates the disappearance of her gifted magician of a sister.
It features lots of paperwork, quite a bit of apricot jam, and at least one mossy wall. 😊

I don't think it does, but I might be blind to some of it ! I feel like it allows me to go straight to the point of a scene, rather than get lost in the prose... Which is a big problem for me. ( Um... without this OneSimpleTrick, my WIP would be 80% flowery descriptions of mossy stone walls. )

I have the hardest time getting out of my own way and writing ugly and needed 1st draft words.
After two years of work on my novel, I've just realized that this problem disappears if I shift tenses. Present tense for 1st draft, past tense for final prose. Absolute magic.
