My boss is a Reagan Republican and has been enraged since this all started. I seem to remember being plenty angry at that group of Republicans back then but again, nothing like this.

One side note: @lorak.bsky.social and @danahull.bsky.social have been tirelessly reporting truthfully and fairly about Elon for a long time. Trump isn’t their beat, but I implicitly trust their reporting.

Trump is hugely unpopular. The tariffs are unpopular. Abducting people off the streets is hugely unpopular. Even people who voted for this are starting to have second thoughts.

I know of censorship within my own industry because leadership doesn’t want to risk upsetting Elon, Trump, or the segment of their audience that sides with the fascists.

Like losing a fascist reader is a bad thing.

I’m old enough to remember when @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social’s red line was kidnapping American citizens. That’s happened. The most concern I’ve see from his is when Trump made him wear an AI sombrero in a slop video.
