Trump’s newest con is pure narrative control: convince people that affordability itself is a fiction, that wanting to live without financial strain is weakness. If he can redefine comfort, or even necessity, as a hoax, he can sell any cruelty as normal.

And so the cycle continues: Trump wrecks the market with his own policies, then uses taxpayer money to bail out the damage, and somehow sells it back to voters as a win. Truly exhausting.
Trump is giving another $12 billion of taxpayer money to bail out farmers again from his disastrous policies. Just like he had to bail them out in his first term from his disastrous policies. But they will continue to vote Republican, as long as they keep getting their welfare checks.

Trump, and republicans in general, have a history of ending revenue steams with huge tax cuts for the wealthy without making up for those cuts with other revenue streams. If Trump ended income tax, the U.S. bond markets would crash as the U.S. debt, due to those tax cuts, is already unmanageable.
