I just deactivated my old account on Nazi Musk's propaganda platform. Meaning I'm now also officially only on Bluesky and (currently unfortunately just occasionally as I unfortunately can only focus on one platform at once and as basically everyone went to there it's currently Bluesky) on Mastodon.

One of the darkest aspects of this is that the Editorial Board can be presumed to understand its audience. The level of manufactured ignorance it takes for a non-predator to respond positively to these ideas is breathtaking.
A full, official editorial today in the New York Times. Not an op-ed. The statements and images are made on behalf of the paper itself.

So the newest reason why Half-Life 3 will "totally" be announced tomorrow at the Game Awards is... JAXA, the japanese space agency, which is not associated with Valve as far as I know moving a rocket launch date to tomorrow.

Recently started reading The King in Yellow and the first story of that book (Repairer of Reputations) unfortunately fits quite well to our current reality yet still aged horribly because in the book the one who aimed to become King of America ended up in an insane asylum instead of becoming POTUS.

Netanyahu is 76 years old, just a year younger than Israel itself. He is not in the best of health, and I don’t know about you but I have a feeling committing genocide probably ages you even more. He is also dependent on Trump, who is nearly 80.

Not exactly a sign of a stable political culture.

Where is the leadership? Rather than copying racist, attention-seeking buffoons, how about doing what leaders should be doing and providing your own vision?

You cannot "out far right" the far right. If you adopt one policy they want, they will always have more (and darker) policies to push. So, what then? You just keep following them down the path towards more human rights abuses and eventually atrocity crimes?

Hormones are the most widely available medication in the western world. Most women over 50 are on HRT. Many older men take supplemental testosterone. These are widely accessible medications. You can't stop trans people from accessing them.

It's like they thought that trans youth would disappear and accept not being able to access care. That's never how this worked. This is why I have such a problem with the Dutch protocol framing by the media. Trans youth were getting street hormones for decades before it was made available in clinics
