PIP legislation + my concerns about:

1. Impact on service personnel + veterans harmed on duty (Armed Forces Covenant)

2. Claimed justification

Here's the email I've just sent my MP (Mel Stride) and Ministers at #DWP and #MOD

Key takeaway from this week’s reflection:

NHS: “we need to generate efficiencies”

Me: “I can show you externally provable figures on 625% system and commissioner ROI for work we do.”

NHS: “if only someone had examples we could use. No-one? Ah well, we’ll have to go elsewhere for ideas.”

And “QLR” will for me always stand for Queens Lancashire Regiment or, if feeling less considerate, the Queens Last Resorts… 😉

As someone unfamiliar with the family court and QLR in this context, I really enjoyed the post.

ICO orders DWP to

"disclose the list of all AI tools DWP plans to place on the Algorithmic Transparency Recording Standards Hub"

I.e. publish details of all the AI they are using unless there is a valid reason to keep it secret

Anyone got any statistics on the number of people in the UK retired from different industries / gov sectors?

E.g.
Teachers - X million
Police officers - Y million
Farmers - Z million

At this stage, I'd be happy with it just for gov sector roles.

But aren’t conveyancing firms excited about the resultant increase in the number of clients (albeit mostly confused new ones)?!

Groundbreaking! The UK Armed Forces has sworn in its first-ever humanist pastoral carer – Dr Neil Weddell. This means thousands of non-religious service personnel will have access to like-minded pastoral support that genuinely reflects their values and worldview. 🧵

And I hadn’t even noticed that it goes all the way down to East Prawle

Anyone who’s tried travelling south of Kingsbridge knows that is a ludicrous business development area! 🤦‍♂️

The most illogically arranged freeport area I’ve seen

That north eastern bump is only a few miles from my house and is such a remote and poorly supplied area that freeport benefits would be non-existent
