My husband died of a metastasized HPV-related cancer. Make sure your kids get this vaccine, and check with your doctor about getting it yourself.
Big day in our house. Kiddo received his Gr7 HPV vaccine. My dad died of oral cancer that could have been prevented by this amazing anti-cancer vaccine. My husband's research contributed to the development of Gardasil. Full circle here for us and we are all having big feelings about it. ❤️💉❤️

I hate a withheld backstory–when the characters all know about/are motivated by a past event but it’s slowly revealed to the reader. It feels false and exasperating to me.

I worked at four papers. Three of them are shut down and the fourth is greatly reduced - about 20% of the journalists remain and they all work from home, newsroom is closed.
A stat we don't talk about enough: Newspapers have lost 77% of their jobs over the last 20 year, more than any of the 532 other industries tracked by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
