Very proud of this review by Sarah Boudreau. Hopefully people will begin seeing seafood discards as a source of valuable chemicals including inorganics #sustainablechemistry
A recent review by Dr. Kerton & colleagues describes techniques to isolate calcium-rich biominerals from discards in seafood processing industries and applications of biominerals across sectors. It may inspire new uses for these inorganic 'waste' materials. #Chemsky

I would love this. In conversations I’ve had - it does seem to be getting consideration (and this is the first year that I’ve been aware of this). Part of the reason was the Stockholm Symposium earlier in the year that led to the Stockholm Declaration. If not this year, maybe next year 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
As in every year since 2013, I published my guess who will get the #nobelprize in #chemistry, to be announced next week.

This year I deviate from all other polls and predictions out there:
John Warner and Paul Anastas for formulating the concepts of Green Chemistry.
