Just stopped reading a blogpost after the author admits (*openly admits*) that they didn’t have time to read the text they’re commenting on and so got an AI to summarise it. Do people not feel shame about such admissions? Do they not want to crawl under a rock and be swallowed by the earth?

Europeans should pay more attention to this absolutely crucial aspect of Trump's efforts & plan for it.
Were this to go through (likely meaning conditional phasing out of US sanctions) this would be absolute dynamite for European unity with huge divisions likely to emerge.

The answer lies in the phrasing. Non-specificity of "this Epstein stuff" reflects non-newsworthynes.

“Didn't we do Epstein stuff already? What else is on?”
Is this Epstein stuff going to be big news or is the media tired of this story? I underestimated how big the Alex Pretti story would be, so who knows.

On Instagram, Temu is trying to sell me Josef Müller-Brockmann's Grid Systems in Chinese. A knockoff that doesn't seem to mention Brockmann by name. Probably unlicensed (it's like 40 years til copyright expires).

I wonder how far the chinese knock-off practice can go.

There is this comments meme about "80 quadrillion dollars to Israel" and OpenAI deserves its own version of it.

AI bubble? Circular investment? Terminally negative unit economics? Technological dead end?

If we split EU like this and the E6 get to make decisions on not just on defence, but also on economics, then they'll make decisions in their own interests, deepening the split instead of reducing it.

But it's defence too, right? So with consent abandoned, the periphery would be held by force.

The former, i think, is winning. Will be a hot summer.

Listening to Trump's speech after Carney is torture.

The beginning is somewhat coherent, then the usual riffing on every line. “Aber... baijan”

Heaps of whining. Hysterical rambling. And this is him trying to be as presentable as he can be.

Ruled out force on Greenland. For now. That's something.

Neil Armstrong phones from the other side.

– Hello fellow Americans. What's happening these days? Have we gone to Mars?
– We're going to war with NATO
– Well, war is unfortunate. But at least we have our allies by our side. Who are we fighting against?

Listening to Carney speaking at WEF.

It just clicked for me that Trump is using trade threats to coerce the same way Russia uses gas pipe threats to coerce. Likely by design.

Maybe i'm slow. Though, haven't heard this comparison done directly, anywhere. Carney gave a broader description of it.
