To explain what it's like:
I keep catching sight of myself in windows or mirrors and actually experiencing bursts of dysphoria where I hadn't before.
Like my internal mental picture is already seeing them there, and my brain is objecting to their absence.

Watching my coping mechanisms shut down ahead of my surgery (and feeling my dysphoria roar up into the gap) is very unpleasant.
