Google assistant used to be able to read out entire articles and web pages to you as well, but now when you ask Gemini for that it's like "I can't doooo itttttt :(((" then gtfo of my face and bring back the saucy diva who could!! you're weak and pathetic!!!!!!!
android chrome has had this "Listen to this page" option for a while, which I found handy. until recently, it read the page text aloud. just tried it now and it instead did "AI playback" alternating voice 1 questions, voice 2 summary replies which aren't the article's text. burn it all to the ground

I know this is the website where people are humourless and take the worst possible interpretations of things but I'm surprised how people in the replies are missing the point of renaming this. If you call it "no kings" in the UK people will make an immediate connection to republicanism.
