Are we more committed to convenience than diversity?

Target has made that bet.

Are we more committed to convenience than equity?

Starbucks thinks so.

Are we more committed to convenience than inclusion?

That's Walmart's take.

Just a heads up, every patient I tested in clinic last week has been positive for influenza A.

Please take appropriate precautions so you can have a healthy time together with friends & fam this holiday season😷

And if you haven't had a flu shot yet... this week is a great time to get one!💪🏾💉

We are underreacting to this‼️

We have no explanation on SCOTUS decisions affecting our lives.

The emergency docket, aka “shadow docket,” is the quiet backdoor of the Supreme Court. Decisions drop fast, with little explanation, and Trump is hammering it harder than anyone in modern history.

The hepatitis B vaccine has prevented more than 500,000 childhood infections & an estimated 90,000 childhood deaths.

Doctors like me didn’t ask the vaccine advisory committee to take away this safety net; in fact, we strongly urge the CDC to keep it."

I’m tired of weak politicians who take days to craft political statements and stand for nothing.

Support your immigrant residents. Stop acting like our communities are a burden to your election campaign. Disgusting.

Do you support ICE kidnapping our residents here in Minneapolis? All I’ve seen you do is vote for the Laken Riley Act and strip away due process from immigrants.

You didn’t stick up for Minnesotans. In fact, your vote is impacting our Somali and immigrant communities heavily.
I’ve got news for you, Mr. President: in Minnesota, we stick up for our neighbors. And our Somali community isn’t going anywhere.

Your dangerous attacks on immigrants in my state and across the country are putting lives and families at risk.

A picture is worth a 1000 words. The birth dose of hepatitis B vaccines in the USA eliminated perinatally acquired hepatitis B infection from over 20,000 cases a year before the vaccine was introduced to <20 cases a year. The gaslighting by the current members ACIP is obscene, unethical and cruel.

@govpritzker.illinois.gov I want you to watch this video of me slammed to the ground- why are you allowing this to happen to people you know are on the right side of history. They tied my hands behind my back and when I asked them to be loosened because I was going numb they said, “STFU.”
at one point, i watched a cook county sheriff’s officer (who appears to be in charge) point out a priest in the crowd.

he and a couple officers then went into the crowd , dragged him into the street, and arrested him.

situation is still tense as crowd jostles with police to get into the street.

I know we're desensitized, but it's important to note, again, that today's events would have led to the immediate impeachment & removal of any president from at least Truman to at least Obama. We're hundreds of miles on the interstate past Richard Nixon's high school prank-level crimes compared to 👇
Trump wraps up a speech to military leaders that represented a major escalation of his effort to weaponize the armed forces into a tool he can use to violently quash domestic dissent. Hard to imagine how anyone with a shred of dignity can keep serving after this, which of course is the point.

Biden ran to "Save the Soul of the Nation"

Instead he:
Restored broken norms rather than lead a healing transformation

Lied about his health & held onto power instead of fostering healthy debate/transition

Enabled a genocide

Enabled Trump 2.0

Strong argument for one of the worst Presidents ever
The most telling statistic I have ever hear is that poverty decreased during the pandemic heights because we were just doing direct payments. We basically had a national UBI pilot and ditched it because Biden wanted to restore status quo ante instead of leading a 21st century New Deal transformation
At some point people need to learn that the poverty rate is mostly about the safety net or lack thereof and not the economy. The economy was doing historically well, real wages rising for the first time in decades, etc. And poverty rose because pandemic safety policies expired.
