I've been truly honored to be on staff since the Korpscon days, through the change to DVS.
We lost an important member of staff, and of our community, earlier this year, JNP-3R.
I like to think we made it proud of us this year, we did right by its' memory.

That's what, I feel, is the point behind DVS now. The villainy is fun and silly and cool, but what keeps us coming back year after year, and raising so much money(like, seriously, y'all) for charity, is the community. We'll keep doing this as long as y'all want us to, we're not going anywhere.

Personally, all the encouragement got me to finally finish a piece of music again, something I haven't done since before the pandemic. And to try something new with it. And that's what the convention is truly about. Bringing people together. Making new friends. Encouraging each other to create.

Being in the server for the weekend, I saw so many people making new friends. So many talking about the stories they want to write, or were actively starting to write. The new art they were creating. Because they were inspired, and encouraged, by other attendees of the con. That's what DVS is about.

@d-v-s.online does so much good work for so many people, every year. Not just the charity we raise money for; they're going to be able to help so many more people because of us, but that's not what I want to talk about. I want to talk about how much we help each other, on a personal level.
