1. Last night, 26 Senate Dems helped pass a NDAA containing a military trans sports and surgery ban and dropped demands for protections against US troop deployments in the bill.

It is the latest in the national fight over must-pass bills during the shutdown.

SHAPIRO: ...Boy, if that had existed, it would have screwed me over.
SIMON: I don't think Al can remotely challenge what writers do at a fundamentally creative level.
SHAPIRO: But if you're trying to transition from scene five to scene six, and you're stuck with that transition, you could imagine plugging that portion of the script into an Al and say, give me 10 ideas for how to transition this.
SIMON: I'd rather put a gun in my mouth.

fiction is a safe space to think of unsafe things

if you feel it's messing you up, step away. don't assume it's messing everyone up and you need to eradicate it because you caught a case of the feel-bads from something. go sit with that and think about why instead of pissing in everyone else's cheerios.

It sounds like a whine but her handler knows it's her heart racing, her breaths quicken.

"Good doll~" The handler teased before pressing the clicker in her hand.

The doll freezes.

Click.

The doll lets out a soft moan with her eyes rolling back a little bit, her handler grips her hair.

A combat doll having her handler lift her chin and leaning in to kiss her on the lips. The handler would gently pull back, keeping a hand on the back of the doll's head, fingers laced between hair and antennas. A grin would cross her face, the doll's turbine spinning faster in anticipation.
