Taco trade Monday morning?
Bracing for the inevitable wave of “will Trump’s 100% tariffs apply to Canadian oil exports?” questions

Spoiler: they’ll say yes, probably cite Venezuela as an alternative, and then carve out energy trade at the last moment—if there are tariffs at all—just like every other time

Amtrak's new Airo trainsets will run on Cascades route, calling at #Seattle and #Vancouver, in time for 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Capable of 200 km/h (125 mph), with panoramic windows, + fetching forest-green livery. (Alas, still powered by diesel, not overhead wire.)

This is the first example I’ve seen of an American government using AI to meaningfully misrepresent actual events with the intent to deceive the public. We are at Stalinesque levels of propaganda.

Hey, Bessent, quick question: which country killed the Keystone XL pipeline?

Also, how are y'all doing with natural gas pipeline builds in the Northeast?

Finally, one last question: why does Canada have seem to have pipelines to the West Coast and America does not?

The current anti-immigrant trend a lot of countries are experiencing is quickly going to run up against demographic realities. In a few years, western countries will be aggressively competing for migrants.

This is the warmest Canada has been on China since Trudeau said he "admired their basic dictatorship".
We’re recalibrating Canada’s relationship with China — strategically, pragmatically, and decisively — to the benefit of the people of both our nations.

The Canadian market is about 2 million cars a year, so 50,000 Chinese EV's is a pretty small concession for what Canada got in return. NA automakers still have lots to fear however as Canadians may get a taste for affordable EVs.
