music dork, movie nerd, tv junkie, gaming goofus...opinions mine, unfortunately. For work I spend lots of time surveying public opinion on all kinds of stuff. Also: St. Louis Cardinals, Blues, Mizzou, and Tottenham Hotspur. #COYS
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is just *cleaning up* at the Game Awards, & deservedly so. It's honestly hard to come up with a better behind-the-scenes creation story in any media -- movies, TV, music -- than the one behind this game. As close to a miracle as there is. 1/

Why do worried TV/movie parents say things like “She’s our only daughter”? Are we supposed to believe parents with multiple children worry less because they have a spare or two?

The horn-blasting bridge on this song is one of the greatest things ever recorded. It sounds like Judgment Day. And it's Jimmy Vivino, Mark Pender, and La Bamba who'd go on to be in Conan's band for years. Will be cool to see them together again backing up Darlene Love one more time...

"Hey guys, we're finalizing this deal. What's one more thing we can do to help increase piracy?"
I just heard from someone at Netflix. TCM is apparently going with the other linear networks to Discovery Global.

Here is the official comment on what WBD assets will be acquired by Netflix:

"We are acquiring the film and television studios, HBO and HBO Max."

This was kind of an unfinished demo that Steve Cropper had to turn into a song in the studio after Otis died. Cropper -- always mindful to never over-play and let his guitar serve the song and not his ego -- has some fun nevertheless with the guitar flourishes here.

Happy for her, she's so clearly a star in this field and she's gonna be great in a brighter spotlight.

Stinks for us Cardinals fans though!

Somewhat relatedly, is Cristian Romero's oft-used nickname of "Cuti" the most hilariously inappropriate nickname in sports? It's like having a snarling, feral barn cat you call "Fluffykins".
If you execute a successful bicycle kick against my team know that after the game I’m chasing you through the parking lot with my truck
Cristian Romero 🤯

What a way to earn @SpursOfficial a point in the 95th minute 😅

The "dusting" of snow we were supposed to *maybe* see in the 314 predicted on Sunday AM has turned into a Winter Weather Advisory and "Here comes an all-day snow event."

I wasn’t expecting much from a Thanksgiving halftime show, but Jack White and Eminem delivered an absolute clinic. That was incredible.

I am very much in favor of Bad Bunny being the Super Bowl hafltime show this season...

...but NFL, I am just sayin', consider Jack White and Eminem for some future year, please?

Whole lotta smoke drifting out of Jesse Hall in CoMo tonight... Mizzou may be locking down their head coach. Last week I was sure he'd be gone at season's end.

The Netflix miniseries Death By Lightning turns a historical footnote — Charles Guiteau's assassination of President James Garfield — into a grand entertainment, with wonderful performances by Matthew Macfadyen, Michael Shannon, Betty Gilpin, and, especially, Nick Offerman. My review:
