Serialized stories generally have a bit of real estate devoted to reminders, like how CBS procedural have characters say things that happened in previous scenes as reminders ("here's the file on the Anderson case that you asked Burns for, chief").

Reading for fun is a big ask when in grad school but I wanna shout out @sahuntbooks.com 's Burn the Dark for being the perfect action dark fable to balance out all this dry academic reading. I love it so far and I'm looking forward to finishing today's homework and reading more!
