The paradox is cruel: My Bipolar II Disorder requires stability, but my ARFID (restrictive eating disorder) blocks the one thing that instantly stabilizes my mood: food. Managing this cycle requires fighting a part of my brain that is also trying to survive.

When systems fail to enforce mandatory recovery time, they put vulnerable clients at risk. A severe breach of safety protocol is enabling individuals with <6 months recovery time to supervise people in acute detox. The system is flawed; the client population pays the cost.

This regime thinks if you have 3 shitty jobs and can't make it you should probably have 4 jobs

ARFID acting up (restrictive eating disorder without body dysmorphia) again. I have food, thanks to Bluesky! I will eventually eat what I ordered. For now, though, I'm starving and can't eat due to this ARFID. This sucks.

I've been clean off of alcohol for over 3 years. Now, my daily life centers around emotional processing and trigger avoidance/maintenance. Anxiety and chronic pain have shrunk my world again, and it's very lonely.

At the end I was drinking at least six standard size shots of liquor every single day. I had to relearn how to feel, how to cry, even. Not all "bad" emotions are actually bad. They each serve a purpose.

I used to bury my feelings in a bottle. Bourbon, preferably. The sharp tang of the liquor jolted me awake and reminded me that I was alive. But over a decade later, three years ago, it led me to suicidal ideation over and over.

It's the rain on the window (sensory regulation) vs. the noise from the house's common area (C-PTSD trigger). The balance required to keep the nervous system regulated in shared housing is a daily, exhausting computation. Stability is always relative.
