Dems could gerrymander back to fairly proportioned districts that represent both local and state residents and still win most of the House this coming November because Trump is losing double digits of support for local GOP candidates.

Dems could gerrymander back to fairly proportioned districts that represent both local and state residents and still win most of the House this coming November because Trump is losing double digits of support for local GOP candidates.
I think it’s criminal that SS is income based (really SS tax based). Two people doing the same job in two different areas can earn vastly different salaries. Why should one of them get less SS than the other upon retirement?

I think it's wild that SS depends on how much you made in your lifetime. Very Matthew effect.

Are Canadian nickels still magnetic? I have one from 1977 that stuck itself to my watch charger. I think they were 100% Ni back then and thus magnetic, whereas US nickels were (and are) 75% copper and 25% nickel. Not enough nickel to attract the magnet.

Putting in an Instacart order for dinner from a teriyaki place twenty miles away from us (they are the closest) and just waiting for the delivery person who picks it up to start swearing up and down. I will tip extra for gas money—I swear—and the normal tip we give is 20%.

Pharmacies can be helpful or not, and I think it comes down to the lead manager at each location, because blanket statements like “Walgreen’s is good” don’t apply. We go to a pharmacy inside a Safeway and it is the best one we’ve ever used. But I doubt Safeway policies have anything to do with it.➡️

Netflix crashed a few times while I was watching the first volume of season 5. Other than that my main takeaway from the show is that I am too old for it. I see all the over-the-top nods to 80s style and technology and think they are trying too hard. Less dayglo clothing. Less super-high hairdos.
