I've kept "I hate myself, I hate clover, and I hate bees" pinned above my desk since I first started studying evolutionary biology as an undergraduate. So relatable to get extremely frustrated with your study system.

Today I am announcing my campaign for the Dunedin City Council byelection.

I’m standing to offer leadership that's ready to go on day one; that's willing & able to challenge the government’s reforms; & that's prepared to make decisions in the best long-term interests of the city.

Use ’Polycrisis’ - but with care ⚠️

The emerging concept of ‘polycrisis’ can be instrumental for decision-making and transformations. But it should be used with clarity and care.

That's the key insight of a recent paper that looked at interpretations of the term 'polycrisis'.

Yet despite this - and strong evidence the forestry sector is highly profitable - lobbyists are continuing to argue they shouldn't be held responsible for the mess they leave in their wake or be made to change their practices
